Dine and Dash is a simple boardgame for 3-6 players, in the tradition of the classic game Ludo. The goal is simply to make your way around the board, grab one or more of the other players as a snack, and carry them off!

Setup

Players start out spaced evenly (or in the event of numbers that don't divide neatly, as evenly as possible) on a circular board of 36 spaces. Another counter is used to mark their starting position and end goal.

In theory, this game could be played in chat, simply tracking each player's position numerically, but a board is preferable.

Movement

On each player's turn they roll 1d6 and move that many squares in a clockwise fashion.

For each meal they are currently carrying, they subtract one from the roll, to a minimum movement of 1 square.

Later in the game, players that are not carrying a meal will have the option of moving further, or turning a roll that falls short into a mighty pounce - see the Objective section.

Eating

A player that lands on a space that is occupied by another player has the option of pouncing and devouring them in the manner of their choosing, preferences allowing of course! If multiple meals are available, the player must choose one.

The pounced player is immediately trapped inside the predator and carried with them until they get out. To escape, the prey must roll a 6 on their turn.

If someone is inside another player and their predator is eaten, a 6 will only free them from the player they currently occupy, not both bellies at once, thus making full players very tempting (and slow-moving) targets - though they will weigh one down terribly!

Objective

Simply put, the objective of the game is to complete a circuit of the board and get back to where they started - and take a delicious snack with them! It is not necessary to land exactly on the space - if they pass their starting position with one or more other players inside them, then they are the winner! The victor is removed from the board along with any and all tasty treats they took with them and the remaining players may chase it out for second place. Naturally, the winner is encouraged to enjoy their prize in the meantime.

If a player is carried across the line inside another player, or doesn't have a meal when they cross the line on foot, they must go around again - however, for each circuit of the board they have completed, they may add +1 to their movement after rolling for the rest of the game provided they are not carrying a meal at the time - a player that has been around three times, for example, rolls their die and may then add 1, 2 or 3 to the roll. Naturally, players are encouraged to use this to make absolutely sure that their roll takes them onto someone else's space!
