We have our own private instant messenger service. It is encrypted and we have no information sharing agreement with the NSA! It is cool because you can chat with VH members without having to publish your AIM/YIM/SKYPE name. It also automatically connects with anyone else using XMPP.
[edit] Setup
Many IM clients support XMPP. Its also called "Jabber" Pidgin, Trillian, IM+, IMO, Empathy, and others.
- Domain: im.mucktopia.com
- Username: Your VH/mucktopia.com username
- Password: Your password
- Resource: Whatever you want, identifies what device you logged in from

For these clients, enter the service as Jabber. These clients do not allow you to specify a server. Instead, enter your information as follows:
- Username: [email protected]
- Password: Your VH password
- Resource (where applicable): As above.
