Wald_Crux

Originally, the character concept started out a play off of "the wood-wide web." A phenomenon where a forest becomes interconnected by series of fungi between their roots. Allowing the trees to communicate through chemical singals around their roots. Trees across the forest are able to transmit a signal to others across the forest alerting other trees of drought, rain, snow, fire, being cut down, just about any change in their enviornment. The trees then react accordingly, changing growth habits and such. But of course, those last teo do little more than trigger a stress response. Yes plants have stress responses to stuff.

The more I learned about this, and the nature and creation of Crux, things began to fall into place. As crazy as it sounds but... When you think about it... That's what a Crux is? A crossing of things. A confluence of maddening things! IT ONLY FITS THAT MUCH BETTER- ahem. *composes himself*

There is a more concrete story here. Those of you who know me know this by now. I leave little bread crumbs and I mostly tell the story of a character through it's interactions.

I will however offer up two little things to go off of when learning more about this charcater.

Firstly, Physical description:

It's a crux shaped crux! Roughtly 5'2" tall including the ears and of an indeterminate weight. It seems to change rather rappidly as his body appears to adsorb carbon and release oxygen and water. Excess carbon is shead by his "fur" and "spores." So on average he is approximately 102lbs. He is covered in a fur-like growth on a rubbery hide. Analysis shows his "fur" is not made of keratin but is structured more like moss. Further DNA testing has been inconclusive. Furthermore, glowing patches of thinner hide contains fungal-like spores that have a paralyzing effect on some creatures, though they have inconsistant effects. The spores when planted do not produce anything, rather they seem to die shortly after leaving Wald's body.

He also wears no clothing aside from a small leather cowl buttoned around his neck. He also has no apparent genitalia.

Secondly, a song Wald sometimes sings to himself:

Oh and finally, it's fair to mention. This character wears a mask at the Moonlit_Masquerade
