Defying conventions

Saurians are usually thought of as tribal, of being brough from a primal era of time in most minds. Either through biological resurrection or temporal shenanigans, they continue their brutish, uncivilized mannerisms.

But what if we took a different approach, quantumly speaking. If in one set of universal evolution the dinosaurs met their end a mass extinction event, then it follows in another set this extinction never happened. Evolution could continue on, and mammals get the short end of the stick. Here, then, rise the Saurians.

A diverse people, an incredible legacy

The Saurians are a people of many races. Literally, in the sense that Tir, being a descendant of the might Tyrannosaurus Rex, lives and works and loves with Ceratopsians and Galamimuses and Hadrosaurs. Fully 12-15 separate races have managed, at varying points of development, to become fully sapient members of the Saurian world by and large. There are of course internal struggles and grudges, but through years of wars and diplomacy several nations have come together into a supernation. Not quite a world government, but getting on towards one

Ryan "Tir" Tiridates: The hulk himself

Of course this dossier is all about the rex himself. Tir stands a rather tall 8'7'', thickset but muscular. He sports a real strongman build (sort of musclegut-like) as opposed to the sculpted look of body builders, given the nature of his work. He works, perhaps a shock to people not in the know of the Saurian world, as a spacedock construction worker. He's been working on his current project, the great Hak'tor'roka Spacestation for the last 3 years. Outside of his specialized spacesuit he typically wears a simple flat-colour tank-top and camo shorts (because pockets are damn useful, ok?).

His body has many subtle shades of colour to it, but on his back from his spine to about his flanks he's a dark, chocolaty brown. From his chest and belly to his flanks he's more of a sandy tan colour. At his flanks, at the interface of these two shades, starkly vibrant splashes of red speckle all down his sides. His hide is rough and slightly gritty, and occasionally lumps of it form into scale-like formations, usually along ridges like his spine, or joints like knees or elbows. While many of his ancestors did flow down the evolutionary path of the bird, while his did not, they do share feather-like traits. A bit more spikey than they are fluffy, they still form a stark fiery crest atop his head and down to his shoulerblades. Shades from yellow through orange and red give him the sometimes nickname of Firehead. This also might be because he has a bit of a temper sometimes...surly dino, who knew?

The brain in the beast

Conventions around the lounge would usually peg him as your average dumb brute. Tir is anything but. Sure, he doesn't get every joke, and he can be tricked like anyone can be with a good bamboozle, but you don't get to build fucking SPACESTATIONS if you're dumber than a sac of rocks pissed on by a Bronto. He enjoys talking engineering with like-minded folks, plays games that play to spacial-awareness skills like freespace or shooters, and has been known to get philosophical on occasion (though get a few beers in him first). Be warned though, he -is- a rex, and sometimes can see some species beneath him. Smaller mammals or lizards might get slightly ignored unless they surprise him with intelligence, guile, or strength. Big or small, though, all can still be seen as food. Saurian society may outlaw and/or frown upon eating a fellow Saurian...but most around the Lounge aren't Saurians....are they?....

8'7 muscly T-rex. Will probably eat you, with or without cream filling
