A Brief Gryphon History

Behold! A gryphon! While in the history of Earth they were described as a combination of a lion and eagle, to the gryphon's of Soren's world they were not half anything, but fully gryphon. Soren's planet is an alternate Earth, one humans colonized many generations ago and grew into a mostly peaceful co-existence with. They were so close that, at some point, their spirits would mingle, creating a sort of soul symbiosis. Bonded gryphons and humans could expect to enjoy extended lives and health, and many other benefits besides. MiniMike and Soren are bonded in such a manor, and have been together for many years.

Description

Soren Drekclanus is a fairly average specimen of his species. He stands at six feet at the shoulder, and roughly twice that in length. A majority of his body is covered in a peculiar mix of both fur and feathers, patterned in shades of tawny, browns and yellows. In particular he's quite fuzzy in the underside (much to the comfort of his friends resting on it!) His wings have less of the fur, more feathers, and enjoy a wingspan of about twenty-six feet and change. His tail begins as a ropey leonin sort that, at it's tip, explodes into a large tuft of feathers and fuzz, acting as a rudder for flight. His beak could be said to be slightly more elongated raptor's build, with a hooked tip that would certainly be useful at ripping flesh. The inside of his beak would sport a sparse row of psudeo-teeth, with the obvious function of holding captive prey. His forelegs end in talons, though they were a half-way point between a true bird foot and a cat foot. His hind paws were much closer to a large cats, however. His head fur-n-feathers departs jarringly from his colour scheme by being a bright, deep-sky blue, though it's unsure if he gets MiniMike to die it like that, or if it's a natural growth. As far as any naughty bits go, he -is- a gryphon, and as such tends to free ball it, so if anyone goes looking it's not going to be hard to find a large sac under his tail, and a fuzzy sheath between his haunches.

Personality

Soren can be described as a light soul. He's affable, friendly, and easily excited. He's a fast friend, though given his excitability can be a little bit overbearing in his eagerness to please a new friend. He's not the brightest bulb in the shed, however, and is gullible and doesn't always understand a situation. Soren, despite his attempts at being polite and kind, finds it hard to deny his baser nature sometimes as a predator, and can get rather nibble-happy at times, and a little amorous at others. He's also rather possessive of his friends, and at times tries to 'collect' them by swallowing them, whether to be ejected later, or 'collected' further onto his paunch.

Vore

As mentioned above, he's very much a predator, and as such a large creature, his appetites are equally huge. He's not above eating his friends, though usually he'll try to get their permission first. While being around Mike means he can get his friends a new body fairly quickly, he has a slightly bad habit of 'collecting' them, by keeping their souls mingled with his own. It's never a detriment to the held souls, and eventually Mike makes him give them up to reform.
