First, to understand a bit more about her home country,
Barazan.
Barazan is a land whose society would very much seem like it was out of a fantasy medieval setting...however, some of the technology is a bit more modern than being 'medieval'.
In Barazan, there are a total of nine races. There are four humanoid races:
Humans,
Elves,
Dwarves, and
Giants.
Two 'exotic' races:
Dragons and
Beasts, which are effectively bipedal/anthro animals.
and three 'hybrid' races:
Dragonkin,
Beastkin, and
Half-Elves. Hybrid races are born when a Dragon, a Beast, or an Elf mates with any of the humanoid races(or in the case of Half-Elves, when an elf breeds with any of the other THREE humanoid races.) A hybrid has access to the abilities and instincts of their main race(Dragon, Beast, or Elf).
Each races villages are in very specific environments in Barazan:
Humans just live in normal villages all across the land.
Elves live in what you would call treetop villages.
Dwarves live in underground cities and in caves.
Giants live in villages on high plateus and on top of mountains.
Half-Elves live in either treetop villages, or normal villages.
Beasts and
Beastkin live in forest villages or forest camps.
and
Dragons and Dragonkin live in dragon dens in the mountains.
Each race has its own version of 'school' as wel, and their own clothing styles. Of course, hybrid races take both clothing styles from both of their races.
Sophie was a human girl, that, as a teenager, was kidnapped by a few human scientists and taken to a lab for experiments. In their general region of Barazan, beastkin seemed oddly rare to them, and the scientists decided to change that, so they kidnapped Sophie as well as captured a cat-type Beast from one of the forests. From there, they put Sophie and the Beast in a pair of stasis pods which were hooked up to machines. When activated, the stasis pods started to fuse Sophie and the cat-type Beast into one cat-type Beastkin in the third pod in the center. This caused their personalities, memories, and instincts to fuse together, so to speak. While they did keep SOME of their memories, most of them were lost to the experiment. After fusing into a Beastkin, Sophie only remembered a few key events from her life, such as being kidnapped. However, she didn't remember her family from either the Beast's past or her own. She didn't even remember either her name or the Beast's.
As another side effect of the experiment, Sophie was reduced to being a 10-year-old, height and weight included, as well as her mindset, however, her more...sexual...physical properties remained as they were. Even as she would grow older in the coming years, her body didn't seem to change, leaving her looking like a slightly more developped 10-year-old her whole life.
One day, Sophie got the opportunity to escape from the lab, so she did. From there, she ran for days, but eventually, she ran into a Beast and Beastkin-occupied forest. From there, she found a small house on the outskirts of a Beastkin village. Upon entering, however, a security measure triggered, which instantly transported her to the house owner's bed, and shrunk her down to a tiny size. She wasn't sure what happened or what to do, so she waited...and then, the house's owner,
Parisa, returned home. Parisa was about to eat her as punishment for intrusion, but upon noting that she was only a 10-year-old child, she stopped, and asked her what happened and why she intruded on her house...so, Sophie explained everything that she remembered, about being kidnapped, experimented on, turned into a beastkin, and her escape. Parisa, feeling pity for Sophie, explained that she was a rather motherly beastkin herself, and had a habit of taking care of lost children. The security measure was so people wouldn't break in and kidnap any kids currently staying with her or stealing any of her stuff when she wasn't home, otherwise, when she was home, people were free to come and go as they please. In fact, she'd wanted a child of her own for the longest time. Since Sophie no longer had a family that she could remember, she chose to leave Sophie at her tiny size, and slip her up into her womb, telling her that she was claiming her as her daughter before using her magic to put Sophie's size to about the size of an infant...and nine months later, Sophie was reborn, still as the 10-year-old she already was of course, and now as Parisa's child. Parisa then gave her the name "Sophie", as well as got her some new clothes, and they began their new lives as mother and daughter. Over the years, Sophie's new mother would teach her about being a beastkin and how to be a good predator. Nine years later, after hearing about Vulpine Hollow, they chose to move to a cabin not too far from the lounge, and that's how Sophie got here.

This was immediately after the scientists fused her with the Cat-type beast, and she was still in stasis.
Right after the scientists woke her up from stasis.
After she became a cat girl, the scientists, rather than letting her sleep in an actual bed, were cruel and forced her to sleep in a pet bed. But doesn't she look just adorable when she's asleep?
Some people have been lucky enough(or unlucky enough, depending on your point of view and who you are) to get this little glimpse between Sophie's legs at her slit and tailhole. Some micros have even been slipped into one of those two holes, usually as sort of sanctuary for them, unless they piss her off or she's just in too much of a predatory mood.
