A caution to all who travel the plains

Oh you, weary traveller, take heed of my tale. For while you will find all of Mother Earth's bounties, you will also find all of her horrors. There is a creature, of cunning guile and honey'd words, that would steal you for it's own. A creature of death, of blood and bone. Fear ye the boneyards, traveler, for not all that is dead stays that way...

Appearance

Kinywa is a bit of an imposing figure. He stands a full 8 feet 3 inches tall, though a slightly hunched stance makes him appear slightly shorter. The fur on his face and along his chest bear stark white painted sigils and runes, though to the uninitiated they take the guise of mere tribal markings. His nose sports a septum piercing of bone, capped at either sharp end with gold. His left ear sports similar adornment, with 3 straight piercings near the top in a ladder formation, and similarly gold capped. Around his neck he sports a fetish necklace, with several bones, bits of fur, and feathers. His frame is fit, muscles plain and evident of strength and power, and marred only by 3 scars much like clawmarks from right pectoral across his stomach. His clothing is sparse, simple shorts with a bone-buckle belt and a fold of cloth down the front, Arcane symbols sewn in. His ankles and shins sport leather guards, and his rugged paws show no signs of footwear. On his belt there are varied pouches and tools, sometimes he also has a rawhide pack with him for larger supplies.

Behaviour

Initial contact behaviour differs on the location, but met in open, public areas he seems no more different than your average, affable traveller. A constant smirk of a grin, a quick whit, and a proclivity for potables. He'd claim to be a tribal wiseman or shaman for a tribe who's name seems to change every time he's asked. Caught alone, however, especially on his own turf, things could be vastly different. The grin is still there, though it's twisted into a grin of one who sees something he wishes to take. If you've so foolishly stumbled into his lair, you're his to do with as he wishes. While not especially vicious, or cruel, in the end he will get what he wants: Your flesh and bones.

Bonemaw

Kinywa is a necromancer, hailing from the Ujasiri gnoll tribe. His lair is littered with bones and the skeletons of past victims. Upon entering, many of these skeletons would cease to be idle decorations, and may either attack to injure and waylay, or outright kill. The painted lines on his pelt serve as a channel for his powers, though even washed clean he still has some power over the dead, just not as focused or powerful. His area of craft in his lair contains a large cauldron, and a flat, obsidian stone altar, where the statue of his patron diety of the dead, who's name must not be named, hangs to bless his craft. His craft requires great reserves of energy, so either a live sacrifice must be made, or he must use his own reserves of power. This fact has influenced his behaviour, as he will devour his victims if given the choice, so as to use their nutrients as the fuel necessary.
