You know, there are many critters that roam the dark spaces of the world. They live there for one reason or another, be it comfort or convenience. You might suspect that a critter such as this would pick the dark because of it's color, for before you stands a void of pitch black, the shape of the beast outlined by what light lays behind it. The only real distinguishing feature in this dark were those orbs of deep amber, almost glowing in the dark with what light they reflected, and devoid of pupils.

This was Denkou.

Though you'd not gather that by standing there gawking. You'd have to talk to him from that, and more specifically NOT run in terror of the blazing embers that were burning against the sheer black darkness you could perceive of his form. And were you to talk to him, you would find him to be of a decently polite sort. Odd maybe, with a bit of a fluid definition as to what was food, but polite all the same. Assuming that you don't fall under that afore mentioned definition.

Now, were you to take the time to find him within the light spaces, you would find this long dark furred creature was quite mammalian in appearance. Not too dissimilar to something akin to a weasel or an otter, though his fur was much more on the long side, as was his tail! The prehensile thing was the length of his body again, and it sported copious fluff of its own! This odd critter's ears too, were of fair note, as one would find their shape changed depending on Denkou's expression or at will~ The fully fanned disks that they were, were each probably as big as the beast's head, and they could fold up into long buds if he didn't much like the way you were talking to him.

Of other note, one would find that this critter's fur came in one color, and that in most light, it appeared nearly jet black. Brighter light levels however would reveal his fur to be a deep chocolate brown~ It was well taken care of, if a bit ruffled in most places. Additionally, under most circumstances, Denkou was significantly larger than, well, just about anyone of a relatively average height. By more than four times in fact! And that wasn't including all that tail! Most normal critters could burrow in against the fluff on his sides or belly and be hidden from sight! Of course, as suggested, there were indeed odd times when the large brown beast was in fact not so large. These times seemed entirely unpredictable though.

Furthermore, ones who spent any time around him would certainly notice that the critter had the uncanny ability to appear in just about any space he liked, so long as he could fit his body inside of it! It mattered not the size of the entry way, or whether said entry way was indeed open! He would simply end up within, and with nary a sound heard as he went! Mysterious indeed!

There was little more to say though about this dark furred critter by looking at him though in any light. Interacting with him would likely reveal more, should you like to risk it.
