Athos

Background/Personality
Athos was created to survey natural untamed worlds on the edge of the galaxy, in pursuit of this goal he was given a research lab on the forest world of Onia, where he is the sole occupant after cutbacks in the sponsoring corporation led to organic staff being removed. He guards the location now like his own personal lair, leaving it on expeditions to find new samples of plants and animals on the planet to study for months. On the rare occasion that he has company he is shy and a bit dry-humored at first but slowly will warm up to his guests and become ever so slightly possessive of them. For some this process is faster than others and may occur within the day, his manufacturers are calling it a bug and leaving it at that.

Description
Athos is a synthetic naga around 25 feet in length, most of which is his segmented tail but will stand at around 6-7 feet when face to face with someone else. He has a fairly sleek build and broad shoulders with long arms, beneath his arm pits there are hidden extra limbs that he tends not to use most days, only when he properly needs them. His face is incredibly serpent-like with long fangs, slitted eyes, and a broad hood on either side of his face.
His body is made up of segmented non-rigid pieces with a stretchy underside that allow him to move and act like any living snake could. The skin is soft to the touch and feels like scale should, but is a little warmer and significantly more durable than might be expected.
Pattern-wise the serpent has a jet black back that changes shade depending on his need for stealth. His underside on the other hand is quite a vibrant shade of blue-grey. His eyes, fangs, inner mouth, and glowing accents along his body are all a wonderful neon cobalt blue. The glowing accents fade to a white-blue closer to his center.

Abilities
Abilities wise the snake has a lot of options that were intended to help him survive on any given planet he might be placed on.
He is incredibly agile with his long tail, able to make it constrict and tighten around enemies and keep them solidly in place, his length no 100% static as he can thin himself out to extend his reach.
His fangs are built with a synthetic set of venoms, some of which kill outright but others may simply stun or anesthetize his bite victims.
For sentient, or at least semi-intelligent, subjects Athos can make use of a complex set of lights and vibrations to induce hypnosis in anyone who might be willing, or unready enough to fall prey to his ability here. It cannot cause complete control but will induce a sort of drunken sleepiness.
