Zues
Zues was a stray as a puppy, shivering in alleys and boxes after his mother died birthing him. He was lucky enough to be adopted at the age of 3 months but by that time he looked like a full grown dog. His tail was bitten off to the bob that most doberman's have by a playmate at his new home prompting the pup to be aggressive towards other dogs at a young age. His new owners loved him as much as anyone with a few dogs and a child could but they were a bit startled when just a few months after they had adopted him he had doubled in size.
They were hopeful that the dog would not get much bigger, already standing at hip height at the young age of 8 months but their hopes were going to be dashed soon. soon after Zues turned 1 year old one of the family dogs disappeared, a small poodle mix by the name of Kari, though the family though simply that the mutt had run away. They never would have guessed that the doberman they had adopted had claimed the other canine for food.
The next disappearance happened a few months later when the shepherd they had vanished. Zues now stood just under four feet tall and once again, no one considered he may have eaten the other dog. It was a mistake that would prove costly for one of the family.
Zues wandered into the family's son's room and lapped lightly at the young male's feet, rousing him from a fitful slumber. The boy was surprised to find the canine's large wet nose at his stomach, able to feel the dog's wet tongue lapping lightly at his rear. He considered it a dream and began pushing at the dog's nose as hard as he could but all Zues did was lift his head, swallowing again to seal the boy's fate. His throat latched onto the boy's hips, pulling them down quickly as the boy whined and cried softly. After a moment more only faint sobs could be heard from the dog's stomach before all fell silent with the exception of the wind blowing through the open window.
The next day the parents called the police, reporting their son being kidnapped but the boy would never be found. A year passed slowly for the pair, His male owner leaving because he was unable to bear looking at his wife any longer. Zues was her only comfort on the long, cold nights and many times she would simply lay on him when she slept until he had outgrown his home. One night just as she was falling asleep she said her usual good nights and was shocked when Zues spoke back. "Good bye owner." he said before devouring her whole and alive just as he had done to her son a year ago. When he was finished he padded towards the door and nosed it open as he had so many times before. His stomach sagged low and thrashed every few seconds as he stepped out into the cool night air and headed for the park....
