Valorie is an unassuming human woman., standing about 6’. Her hair is black, usually swept back and held by a hairband, while her body is fit and athletic. She's usually dressed in a quilted, warm flight suit, or a more casual outfit of jeans and a cotton shirt.
There isn’t much to note about her… except for Rhivan. Valorie is essentially a dragonrider, and shares a lifelong telepathic bond to a powerful Storm Dragon named Rhivan. Via their link, she can directly communicate with him, share emotions and sensations, and even heal him.
Rhivan himself is a powerful-looking feral western dragon, slightly heavy in the gut but mostly built with powerful muscle and a broad wingspan, standing somewhere in the area of 12 feet at the withers. His scales are the color of dark rust, while the membranes of his wings and his internal flesh (mouth, etc) have a cyan tint that glows lightly in the darkness. He has two pairs of horns on his head, sweeping back gracefully. He’s highly intelligent and skilled with his lightning powers, but can only communicate through Valorie when he feels like speaking at all.
The two of them bear a certain amount of responsibility and duty, both being technically knights errant, but also spend a great deal of time relaxing, socializing, and exploring. Both are eager to meet new people and have new adventures.
