The Snake-Orca hybrid
A large creature stands before you. Aside from his exotic species mix, his first striking feature is his height with an impressive 11 feet and 7 inches tall. At first glance, it is obvious that the hybrid has orca genes in him. The first hint being a distinctive mask-type marking so recognizable in the giant water mammals. The second hint being the slick, slightly slimy skin that covers the bipedal antropomorph. The third and final hint is the large and pudgy belly of the beast that makes him quite heavy with a weight of half a ton, give or take depending on the season. Then, his second specie completes his build with more-or-less subtle hints. He has a long, prehensile tail that follows him and when he lets it drag behind him, it instinctively slithers even though he doesn't use it for movement. He also has a frill along his back and on his tail that some water snakes have.
Upon closer inspection of the creature, one would spot short ears of indistinguishable origin. His eyes would be round and cute, almost dog-like if anything. His arms are quite large and muscular and end with three-toed paws sporting stubby claws. Standing on digitigrade legs, his feet are slick, showing no toes, almost like a permanent skin sock. His frill on his back has bony spikes/structures with a very soft and fragile skin linking them. It doesn't extend far and seems mainly vestigial if anything else. When the hybrid opens his mouth for a yawn or to eat, a large flat tongue similar to a human can be seen, but with a forked tip instead of a round end. His teeth are numerous and are accompanied by two short snake fangs that don't seem to have much purpose other than grasp on food and decoration.
The creature's color are those of water snakes, eels and/or fish. The area considered under him, from chin to belly, inner thighs and under his tail is a silvery gray. His paws, the interior of his ears and the area around his eyes are the same color. His back, not including the spots reminiscent of a snake markings, is a seaweed blue, his frill being a slightly darker tint and his flesh an even darker one. On a particularly sunny day, his skin may look as blue as the ocean you see in those island paradise pictures on vacation websites. His eyes, or iris, are a pale violet or lilac, like the flower. Finally, his markings as well as the sole of his feet, strange circles spotted along his back are black.
Tommy AKA Tummy
Born from the curiosity of a wizard that wanted to mix science and magic together, Tummy was created from one part of gene manipulations helped along with alteration spells. Originally small like a human baby, Tom was kept as a pet within the laboratory that saw his creation, then in the house of the wizard that was his creator. Tom soon showed signs of what would later become an insatiable appetite. Even as a baby, the hybrid was always hungry and his nose could find even the smallest parcel of food inside a sealed container. It didn't take long for the slender snake-orca to earn quite a pudgy and soft belly, hence earning his loving nickname Tummy which became Tommy.
Thanks to the family he grew up in, Tummy learned to cuddle and be as gentle as he could be around the daughter of his creator, who was as dependent on hugs and cuddles as he was on food. The hybrid personality was shaping up to be a loyal, lovable and playful beast and the family had quite the original pet. That was until Tummy said his first words. His creator was surprised to hear him talk and wasn't expecting him. Far from being negative, the wizard along with his wife soon applied themselves on teaching the hybrid how to speak which was easy and how to read, which was quite harder. Sadly for Tummy, he didn't have the focus needed to learn what some consider superior knowledge as his belly's rumbles or the smell of food distracted him too easily.
After years of growing up with the family, Tummy saw the peaceful death of his creator's wife followed by his father's a few years later. For a while, he tagged along with the daughter that was raised with him, but even he could tell that she needed to live a life of her own. More-or-less on his own accord, Tom eventually set out in the big open world to live his own life.
A walking oddity
There are a few things that make Tummy stand out from other creatures aside from his weird species mix. The main bizarre feature about him and the one that earned him his nickname is that the hybrid is always hungry. He doesn't know what satiated means and can only describe his hunger as less or more hungry. Strangely, his body gains weight until he is quite pudgy and round, but stops after a while and just shrugs off any excess as if his metabolism adapts rapidly according to his weight.
Linked with the previous feature, Tom has a special biology. He holds two stomachs within his gut. The first one is a large, round fleshy chamber situated where a stomach should be and works like the normal organ found in humans. His second stomach is between his first stomach and his intestines. It is a long, twisting tube that eventually turns into the actual intestines. It works very similar to a snake's digestive organ and pushes any food really slow to degrade and absorb nutrients in a more efficient fashion.
The last oddity, which could only be a personality trait, is that Tummy acts erratically when he smells, sees or tastes food. Under normal circumstances, the hybrid is like a sentient, cuddly beast that loves to chat, hang out and have fun, but when food is involved, he becomes distracted, out of focus and almost hypnotized by it. On top of it, Tom doesn't have the best memory and will sometimes forget what he was doing before his hunger took over which makes making new friends sometimes really hard.
