He stands fairly tall for a humanoid, seven feet when he stands straight. He is, however, very obviously
not human, sporting skin that's a stony gray and ears that taper to pointed tips. More obvious is the small pair of horns poking out through his hair, and the batlike wings that emerge from his back, the way his fingers end in claws... And how, at his waist, smooth skin gives way to thick black fur, everything below his waist bearing an appearance not dissimilar to what one might expect from a bat, feet replaced with dexterous talons for gripping. Curious, also, is the tattoo on his right shoulder, the dwarven symbol for the number three. His appearance is nearly monochrome, with perhaps one exception.
His eyes. The gargoyle's eyes are a bright, vibrant, luminescent blue, easily visible in the dark for their natural glow. He can see perfectly even in total darkness, but it would seem that he's been made with a few design flaws to limit his stealth ability.
He's rather innocent, in demeanor, lacking an understanding of most things that happen in the world. He does have certain quirks, however. The gargoyle seems to have very little in the way of a sense of independence, curiously seeing nothing odd about the concept of slavery or owning another being. He also has a near-pathological fear of light, especially sunlight, even attempting to expose him causing a state that approaches panic.
When one examines his background, the reasons for this become clear. Three was not born; he was made. A biological construct designed by a dwarven mage to guard his keep. His life began with the understanding that he was property, and had what rights his creator chose to give him, and never thought to question that until the day he overheard his creator making plans to switch to golems. They, after all, did not need to be fed, or rest, and when the dwarf discussed 'retiring' his current guards, Three felt something he had not previously been familiar with: fear. He feared for his life, and in a panic, he fled the wizard's tower, flying out on his own in the hopes that he could escape the fate of being 'retired'.
He's spent much of his journey hiding in caves and the rest of it flying as far away from his former master as he possibly can... and his flight has brought him here. He doesn't quite know what to make of this place, but he has at least gotten the impression that his creator won't find him, so for the time being... He will remain in the Hollow.

Three is a gargoyle, intended for being a defender, and for that purpose he does have certain abilities that make things easier. His skin, while incredibly smooth, also has a resilient quality to it. While he is by no means injury-proof, he's extraordinarily resistant to damage not coming from blunt force. Fire, extreme cold, acids, and most weapons don't seem to bother him.
As mentioned before, he has perfect darkvision, and the darkest night, to him, seems like the brightest day.
He's deceptively strong, as well, and while he has a gentle nature, his claws are not for show.
While not the most agile flyer, he can certainly take to the air with speed. Coupled with his uncanny ability to cling to most surfaces, he's often able to make his way to places that are otherwise quite difficult to get to.
That said, he is not without his weaknesses. Exposure to sunlight produces a severe reaction involving paralysis, followed by calcification of his flesh. The transformation time from direct exposure ranges from seconds to minutes, depending largely on the amount of light he is exposed to, and the experience is almost always a painful and unpleasant affair, and it takes him several minutes of shade to regain movement. In this state, he is still very aware, and the inability to move while still being aware of his surroundings has given him what he feels is a very good reason to be afraid of light.
TL;DR he turns to stone in the sun.
