A young male human, usually found in the company of either a certain wolverine, or a certain fox. He certainly sticks out, skin being a pale, luminous white, hair the same shade. One might take that to be an indicator of some form of arcane talent, but the truth is far more mundane. Tasukaru, or Karu, as he usually goes by, is afflicted with the genetic disorder achromia, or, as it might be called more commonly, albinism. He lacks any form of pigmentation in his skin, hair, or eyes whatsoever, resulting in an overall appearance that, coupled with his thin build and naturally red-violet eyes, is almost skeletal.
In spite of his mildly unnerving appearance, he tends to be sociable and, surprisingly, well-adjusted to having other people around. He is certainly intelligent, but unlike many who might lord such over others, he seems to shy away from being the sort of braggart who would do so, although there is still a hint of impatience that shines through when dealing with the truly slow. He speaks English very well for someone who learned it as a second language, only a slight hint of an Eastern Japanese accent slipping through.
Of course, for someone who seems so mundane, the question arises: what is he doing here?
For that, one need simply look at his parentage. He refers to
Lunaria_Luscus and
Orolin as his mother and father, respectively, and seems to legitimately love them both as his own family, whether or not they happen to be biologically related. He came from a world that, to be frank, was not conducive to a happy childhood, and almost by accident ran into the pair. It took some doing, but over time they repaired the damage that had been done to him psychologically over the years, and directed the then-teenaged boy towards less self-destructive tendencies. It's been three years since he found his new 'home', and, adopted family or no, he's perfectly happy right where he is. As for the rest of his history... well, you'll just have to ask him, won't you?

On a more recent note, he's received a 'gift' from
Loxagn, who privately felt that a son ought to look like his father. This gift takes the form of a pair of pure-white fox ears poking out of his hair, and a tail to match. While initially flustered, he's grown attached to them and finds he doesn't mind the change.
He is also presently learning under
Orolin, who seems to want to teach him magic. Karu is by no means an archmage, but he has thus far managed some very basic cantrips.
