An Unusual Beastie

Síneadh (She-nuh) the teaghrán is an interesting looking thing, isn't he? Certainly something borne of magic, has to be. A safe bet, even! But what kind of magic? There's certainly a lot in this fair world, isn't there? While his dam and sire's origins are decidedly asian, he's a product of the Fae. The Sidhe. The inhabitants of Tír na nÓg, the Land of Eternal Youth of ancient irish origin. How the heck does that happen, you wonder? Heck if anyone knows (Shenanigans, most likely)

A more lengthy viewing

Long, in a word. Lengthy. Noodly, even! This boy's got some mileage to his body. Lets look at his face, first. Stretched to a more draconic point, it's still largely sports feline features. Feline-like nose, fangs and large, swivel-y cat ears are there. The eyes are an azure blue, still slitted much like a dragon or feline's. Extending from betwixt his ears all the way down the spine of his length is a mane of chestnut fur. The rest of his pelt is the standard sort of tigerish covering, orange with black stripes all along the top and sides of his trunk, fading to a creamy underbelly. His neck is prodigious, a full twelve and half feet before it reaches his forelegs. The distance between his fore and hind legs, however, is a whopping twenty-two feet, with another twelve feet to top of the ridiculous length of this beastie.

How he ticks

Raised in the land of the fae, he could charitably be considered 'coloured' by their morals and whims. He is a bit of a greedy, vain creature, given to taking up 'friends' to give him pampering and prestige. These 'friends' are usually tricked into service, one way or another, by unwisely making bargains with him. He's not a demon, though words of agreements with the fae are binding. Think of it as having a bronze age mentality: If it pleases me, then I want more of it. If it displeases me, then it must be destroyed as soon as possible, though hopefully in a way that elevates my status. In and out of power games, he does enjoy games of many stripes, and even plays fairly (though most of the time the stakes are high, for others anyways).

A lot of noodle tiger means a lot of meat...

It's not shocking that this beastie needs to eat. A lot. In big portions. Usually his fae attendants attend to his appetites quite well, but stuck away from the fae plains in unusual lands and, thus, cut off from his retinue, he must hunt for his own grub. Unlike others in his position of relative power in Tír na nÓg, he is not above hunting, and quite enjoys it. It would be bored if he just lazed around all day, after all! He has quite a few plays from the strategies of snakes and his draconic kin, equally at home in ambush and active stalking situations. He can move surprisingly fast for such a cumbersome animal, leaving many to underestimate him. He tries to leave hunts as strictly magic-free, but he will use illusions and glamours to get what he wants.
