Shade's been around for a good little while. Adorable little thing, he is, er.. well.. he used to be anyway. But hey, look, he's still an adorable thing, just not the same bunny you might remember him being, yeah?

Yeah. What you see there? That's him now. Pudge. On a dog. His name is Slurp now, not Shade. You're more than welcome to come over and say hi, maybe pay your last respects if you want, give him a pat or a rub... but unfortunately, the most response you're likely to get will probably be a deep growl or a ravenous gurgle. That's right, Shade as you knew him is nothing but a fond memory and a permanent layer of pleasantly soft belly fat now.

Shade is normally found relaxing in his rabbit hole, cooking or cleaning, enjoying the simple nuances that life had to offer him. He doesn't like to leave the sanctity of his home, on account of the countless predators that lie around the nearby cities, let alone within his quiet, humble forest. Friendly faces are often rare to come by, but when he spots a weary traveler passing through, or vice versa, he doesn't hesitate to offer a warm meal or a place to sleep for the night. Those are just about the only people he gets to see, aside from unwanted visits of the postman, or other city workers.

Backstory

The little lapine grew up under the roof of a strict parenthood, refusing his requests to play outside, or interact with his neighborhood peers. The only times he was allowed freedom outside was in the backyard, or an escort to the store. Most of his education was self-learned online, or being occasionally homeschooled by a hired tutor.

It took him until his late teen years to realize the difference between predator and prey, and that he had been given the short end of the stick, in terms of size and species. Shade mostly resented his parents for stripping him of such a basic right to leave his own home, resulting in him running away, even after the epiphany of most other seeing him as just a meal. It didn't take long for him to realize his mistake, after multiple near misses with fate. His ever longing desire to leave quickly sunk into a fight or flight instinct to hide and isolate, where he stays now in the center of a thick forest, lining three cities surrounding it. The only times he'd ever enter one of them was almost entirely by necessity, albeit food, or something he couldn't order online.
