So, you've decided to find out what the truth about Sarantsatsral really is hmm? Couldn't just get to know them, talk first. You had to dig up rumors and myths and other such things. So be it then. Here is the truth of what they really are.

Sarantsatsral, commonly just called Saran to make things easier, is as she appears. A marbled polecat. The problem is, they're a dead marbled polecat. They believe they were born female and most often will go by those pronouns, but when it has been so long and one's talents are as they are, sometimes they may present as male, or a combination or none at all.

The body that is shown is not her true form any longer. She is a master illusionist who has had plenty of time to study the craft. Her body looks real, feels real, smells real, even tastes real, but in the end, it is a fanciful illusion. The amulet that she weasr has been enchanted so that she no longer need to focus on her illusion to maintain it, allowing her to save her energy for other things. She is able to modify it to switch her body between genders with ease, but if the amulet is removed, her true form is exposed.

Beneath all the false fur and flesh is nothing but bone. Saran is in reality a living skeleton. They weigh only 28 lbs which is rather easy to notice by anyone that picks her up, though most only notice her as being light, the illusion spell hiding the truth of just how light they really are least someone truly try to explore it. Their bones are extremely durable. So much so that despite the numerous occasions wild canines have tried chewing on them, their isn't a scratch to be shown. Corrosive slimes and acidic bellies have caught them yet they come out fine in the end. They believe this was due to whoever raised them in the first place, before they either regained sentience or were given freedom. If separated, their bones will slowly roll, bounce, hop, wiggle or some how find their way back to them. So far their hasn't been a distance yet that they were unable to track down a piece to reclaim. Beyond the bones, the only other difference is the pair of ambler lights that shine in their empty sockets, eyes that follow movement and blink. When talking, their jaw doesn't move but it still seems as if their voice comes from their mouth.

They have as well the ability in illusion form to devour others. Their bodies are transferred into a pocket dimension that is entered between their collar bones (though some might find themselves entering via other means). As a person is devoured, once their feet pass out of the 'throat', they splash down into a pool of hot water. Surfacing they find themselves in something that resembles an Asian bath house. Stone bricks line the pool walls and floor, the water deep enough in the middle to swim, yet also stand as well to walk to the shallower edges. Wooden panel walkway surrounds circular pool, with bamboo fencing rising high all around, blocking any sight beyond, no matter how tall one might be. The sky above is filled with stars, adding to the light of lanterns posted about. To the north is a small bar with various food and drinks laid out in buffet manner. To the east a fire-pit with cushions and chairs. To the west are a few futon beds with room dividers to help shadow them and the south has showers and other amenities.

This pocket dimension was created as a way for Saran to feed off the energies of those they consume. Not to the point of draining them dry, but they has found that it can invigorate them, increase their abilities even more over time. Their guests are always released after a day or two, though there have been some that request to stay longer.

Overall they are on the look out for their self. Many do not trust the undead, for the usual good reasons really as it isn't often to find one not under a necromancer's dark control, and it has caused quite a few hardships in their new life. Sometimes they will try to blend in to society even more, taking on work of a particular nature here and there to make use of skills they have developed.
