RemArcher

"Now, let's make one thing real clear. I ain't a hero. Never have been. Heroes get stories written about 'em, statues erected in their honor, songs sung in their name... But that's it. My mama once told me. 'Don't be a hero, Rem. Be a legend. Heroes get remembered, but legends... Legends Never Die'."

It starts, as do many things, with a song. A few chords of a guitar, carried on the wind. Drums join in, the subtle thrum of a bass, a keyboard... and then a voice, deep and carrying with it a southern drawl, bursting into song that echoes for miles around as a streak of red and pink and shining gold screams in out of the sky, the very air shaking with an energy that suddenly seems alive. The streak impacts the ground at somewhere around Mach Three, sending dust and motes of light scattering in all directions, a spectacle that has to be seen to be believed.

But what emerges from this explosion of sound and color is far more interesting than the explosion itself. Astride an avian the size of a draft horse with plumage of a lurid pink, there is a man. A half-elf, by the look of him, dressed positively outlandishly in leather armor died hot-rod red. His hair is a deep auburn, deliberately styled to forever have the look of being blown by the wind, a pair of near-opaque goggles sitting atop his brow. There's a guitar, too, slung across his back, a curious artifact of gold and white dragonscale, strings across it that thrum and crackle like lightning bound to his will, rather than boring old metal. On his left ring finger, too, is a silver band with a gold-colored gem set into it, cut in the shape of a rose. Pinned to his lapel is a single moonflower, pristine and glowing white at all times no matter how many times one sees it, and curiously, most intriguing of all... his entire being seems to exude a faint golden glow, music forever audible in his presence whether he's playing or not. He introduces himself with a winning smile and a gracious bow, as simply... Rem.

For here is Rem Archer, fledgling god of Music and Magic, patron of the Temple of the Eternal Song. Retired ex-adventurer-turned-deity, (in)famous lover of the arts, Casanova of Countless Planes... and wrecker of more than a few marriages, if you'll believe his detractors. Whatever his reasoning... he's made an effort to swing by the Hollow. Maybe he's looking for someone who needs a hand, or maybe he's just bored. Who knows? But no matter his reasoning... a god walks among the denizens of the Hollow.

Rem's capabilities are primarily focused around extraordinarily potent magical effects, woven into the notes and lyrics of his music. While like most bards he does have a significant portion of his power dedicated to inspiring greatness in others, healing, and protecting, it should be noted that he's had a great deal of time to learn magic, and can weave with a fair amount of ease spells that many would consider 'Epic'. He still doesn't like to get into a fight, simply because it's probably 'not exactly fair' to call down the righteous smiting on the little guys. Better to help others solve their problems, in his opinion.

Another Loxagn alt, based on a character I played in D&D: Immortals.
