Once, long ago, in the before times when she was evil and powerful, Ms_Labrador had a fling with an equally powerful Fae in the form of a tanuki. Both being creatures of ancient and powerful magic and not exactly the moral types, they did just enough by leaving the resultant child to be adopted. And thus Nanashi (lit. "Nameless") or as she prefers to be called, Nana, was brought into being.

Seemingly as tall as she needs to be, defaulting to an incredibly cushy 10ft. A looming tanuki-labrador of immense plush size and strength, as soft as a marshmallow and with monstrously heavy bapping pawhands and heavy feet, she's a gentle giant who wants nothing more than to make sure everyone is good and happy and enjoying life and themselves - and is completely in the dark about her unique and powerful mixed-species heritage, of course.

Her mother was capable of many magical things, and slaked herself on lust, and later love. Nana feeds on the concerns and worries of those around her, taking them away and leaving people able to rationally and pleasantly ruminate on their troubles instead of falling into despair. Her other parent blessed her with even deeper magical wells, and the Fae ability to *bind* people into unbreakable contracts. And while Fae can't lie, her mix of powers does the reverse - no one is capable of lying to Nana.

Which is why as things got more modern, she took up a job as a counsellor. Able to discern truth from fiction, drain your worries away, and lock you into Fae bargains that will do nothing to you but force you to better yourself and be the best that you can be? She's a big lovable goof with no idea what she's doing or how she's doing it.

But she just wants to help. Any way she can.
