Mizuki

In a place as dangerous as the Hollow, it may seem odd to come across someone like Mizuki. A young human woman, in her early twenties, seeming quite normal at first glance, if a bit... off.

Her hair is black, cut short, reaching down just enough to cover her ears. Her clothing is usually plain, selected for the ease of movement and resilience to the sort of wear and tear that your average adventurer endures. The magically-inclined will recognize a few magic items on her. A bolt of red silk is wrapped around her waist, bearing the insignia of a flower in silver embroidery. Her hands are covered by leather gloves, a pendant worn around her neck... All give off the aura only found in a Major Magic Item.

That aside, Mizuki seems fairly normal, until you get close. It's then you notice her eyes are pale, revealing her blindness. You notice her apparent lack of need for a guide, the muscle tone in her arms that could only have gotten there from constant practice and honing... The observant would note that she's not nearly as frail as she seems.

The knowledgeable... would recognize the insignia. The White Lotus School does not idly hand out its emblem. The only way this girl could be wearing it... were if Hasushiro Mizuki, that quiet, strange blind girl... were a Master of the style.

The wise... would realize this, and move away from the assumption that Mizuki is simply a target.

Personality-wise, Mizuki is typically quite amiable, enjoying the company of others. She's rather driven, however, and has no patience for those who refer to her blindness as a 'handicap'. She's cautious to the extreme, however, having difficulty in truly letting people in enough that she truly trusts them. She'd fought for years before now, working to earn the respect of teachers who did not approve of a useless blind girl learning their secrets, fought for years to hone her senses to the point that being unable to see was no longer a disability, but an advantage... She is a uniquely driven individual, and will find friends in those who don't treat her like she needs special treatment.
