"If I'm gonna eat someone, it might as well be you!"
Lou the Goanna is a rather lazy, fat beast, but it's easy to become lethargic when food is so plentiful. Normally subsisting on a diet of large bugs or small mammals, Lou recently became aware of how tasty humans were when one came into his forest, just the right size to devour! Poor Lou went hungry that day, as he can't bring himself to upset his fairy friends.
Realizing these mostly hairless, two legged weirdos were so delicious, he's been hunting for similar snacks ever since.
Lou is unapologetic about his desire to eat anyone he finds appetizing, and quite persistent when he has his sights set on a morsel. Despite his usual slow, loping gait, he can run surprisingly fast when he wants to. His low, gravelly voice is soothing to many, he's discovered, as well as his talent for music. It's much easier to sing or talk a cutie into his gullet, or at least close enough for long tongue or claws to snatch them up!
The fortunate lizard managed to catch a little female one day, and to his surprised was not terribly reluctant to be devoured. As she was being slurped up, she hugged his tongue rather tightly, and prevented herself from being easily swallowed. She got to some curious wiggling in there, made a cute noise, and became much tastier all at once! Lou certainly would love to have another treat like that sometime, but if someone wants to complain all the way down, that's fine too.
He's used to living prey, rather enjoying all the lovely squirms, but has come to realize that bugs aren't too flavorful and aren't as delightful to feel wiggling within, these pretty bipeds, however, were the best!
