TL;DR - In another place, there's a Rei with a much more tragic history than the Rei that you know. Still, she got better. Something of an eternal being, Rei defies death with a broken soul that eludes cycles of life and death. Rei simply cannot not exist. A psion so powerful she's reset her own universe thousands of times during a horrible phase of great denial, Rei is not to be trifled with~ Well. Unless you really wanna. 100% Pred
What -is- Rei?
Rei's background from this particular setting is long, confusing and unintuitive, but the short and skinny of it is that because she did bad things, she was killed by someone she loved, and felt that it was such a horrible betrayal that she refused to believe it happened. She refused -so strongly- that she broke the universe. The entire thing. Broke. Broke it. She also managed to break her own soul, too. Ever since, the girl has had the unique power to remember everything from every single one of her past lives. From every single iteration of the universe. There is no end for Rei. For the longest time, she kept up this horrible field of denial and just kept denying that things were the way they were, but after she realized that things just weren't going to change, she decided to change herself instead.
And now we get to the Rei she is now. A psion of nearly limitless power who can literally do whatever she wants. Her will is so strong and so unrelenting that she can shape reality to her will. More or less, she's a god. Luckily for most people, all she really wants to do is hang out and eat people, though. Her innards are literally made out of stuff of the divine, which means they're constantly shifting about whenever Rei's not focused on making them real and tangible. Because of this, her body's digestive tract can often have some bizarre effects on people and occasionally, can turn into a very maze-like structure. Most of the time, her insides count as their own reality too, and -this- can lead to some interesting things as well~ You'll have to ask me for more information if you're interested, but Rei's pretty cool sometimes.
