Graveborn_Kharrix

Kharrix the Graveborn. (Skeletal)
Kharrix the Graveborn (Zombified).

In life, Kharrix was a dragon of valor and honor; and had sided with the mortal kingdoms against his own kin, a feat that his own people regarded as treason but Kharrix himself saw the value of mortals as being more than simply just cattle for their nourishment and slaves to slaughter when they dared to strike out against them in turn. However, Kharrix was ultimately betrayed by the very people he once sided with in the first place when the vizier of one of the Kings revealed his true colors as a necromancer and brutally murdered his King and took his crown. Kharrix had attempted to lay waste to his undead minions but was mortally wounded when a ballistae bolt tipped with Deathvenom struck him inside of the armpit and dropped him from the sky. Crashing to the earth, his final thoughts were how his own people were right.. and he was very much wrong.

It was not long after he felt his lifeblood leave him that he began to feel his spirit was unable to depart and was forced to remain inside of his decaying shell.. but he was not afforded the peace of a long state of decomposition, for the deathvenom he was infected with caused all of his flesh to melt from his bones as he began to rise--exhaling a purplish mist from his maw and hollowed eye sockets that latched onto the living around himself, draining their very life essence into himself to mend his own injuries and strenghten the bonds holding him together. And his first act upon 'reawakening' was to lay siege to the township once again--this time as a powerful dracolich.

The vizier's minions were unable to repel him a second time for he first struck a blow against the ballistae and shattered them and their manners with his tail, before devouring the magic holding his minions together--the vizier fled through a magical portal, leaving the city and his minions behind. Kharrix turned his rage upon the living next but halted when one of his old friends approached him, laying a hand upon his snout and it was then that he realized what and who he was.. he released the bound souls within himself, and collapsed--hoping that his final death was upon him; but it was not meant to be.

When he next awoke he found himself still as his undead found, rising amidst the broken ruins of the kingdom that he had once served and aided; the skeletal remains of his friend next to him, having laid against him in their final hours. He immediately recognized this devastation as being wrought by his own kin--the dragons had attacked when the city was vulnerable, torching all within or devouring them. As he stirred, so too did his friend; as the skeletal remains of his knighted friend arose from the grave, the both of them took to the wing with the death knight upon his back.. flying away from this land of the living, and seeking solitude far from the living.

On the borders of a bog known for it's toxic gases and deadly pits of peat moss and monsters, the two undead found a ruined tower deep within it where they claimed it as their home. Here, Kharrix and his friend spoke at length.. speaking fondly of their time alive, and curious why they were never permitted a final rest. Eventually Kharrix decided to explore the world, seeking a way to permit himself to a final rest.. his friend remained behind to tend to the tower.

The dracolich finds himself now in this strange place, with entities that willingly eat each other alive.. and has decided that he will hunt here, and consume the blood and life essence of the living to bring himself closer towards a state of resurrection.

Never/Dislike If you take an unnecessary long amount of time to post (20 minutes or longer), and only post a short paragraph (3 lines); then I expect to be told you're either distracted or whatever. If you take almost an hour with no reply I will terminate the RP and I likely won't want to RP with you again in the future. I'm patient, but making me wait that long is just plain disrespectful.
