Bio
Xeyra, more often called by his nickname Freki is a pretty typical example of a free spacer spirit. He makes ends meet drifting from place to place before inevitably moving on to follow the path his adventures take him with most of his desire to profit stemming from a need to keep the reactor fueled to keep going. He's not the usual merc rough and tumble either, much more quiet and reserved often preferring to be that guy in the back of a seedy bar with his back to the wall. When it comes to getting the job done, however, one will struggle to find one better. He's taken on many a job massively over the odds and come out, somehow, mostly intact. He's quick witted, and hard to get to crack under pressure, often even remaining humorous even when facing his potential demise. Though friendly, to those who actually get past his outer shell, it'll quickly become obvious he's a bit of a haunted creature, adamantly refusing to let anyone get in too close. Whatever he's gone through, he'll quickly clam up and change the subject if asked about his past.
Appearance
Xeyra has a relatively average frame, with blue, black and white fur covering his body. With his line of work he definitely does his part to stay in shape, although admittedly has slacked a bit in more recent history sporting a slight layer of squish around his belly with a layer of capable muscle underneath. His internal flesh, interestingly, is mostly black, with blood that glows a luminous cyan pumping through his veins. Medical diagnosis for this condition is unclear, and it's been chalked up to some strange, but harmless side-effects to his pigmentation and blood chemistry sustained at some point during his career. Inside, his anatomy is all standard as far as anyone can tell, albeit, being most of the time in space his muscles are quite well developed and anyone who ends up inside him might find his guts quite squeezy as an adaptation to consistently living in artificial gravity. He's also got a handful of augmentations, although these are mostly a handful of chips wired into his head that enhance some cognative processes to assist with piloting and existing in galactic society, though he often complains of headaches, they seem mostly worth it.
Aurora
The Aurora is Xeyra's home among the stars. She is an older corvette-class vessel of unknown model and origin. As a former warship accomodations aboard are quite cramped, and a little basic but bare the marks of being well lived in. One may find a stack of cans here, an empty takeout box there, even a fairly decently stocked liquor cabinet. The bridge even sports a sofa that's definitely seen some better days itself where one lonely captain may be found staring out into the stars. Xeyra is fiercely defensive of his battered vessel, and any insults directed at her condition will have him swiftly alluding to tales of days gone in which he'd massively beaten the odds with his crew and this very ship. Though some may ask...what crew?
