Okay basically. Take a big fluffy death's head moth, and make him humanoid. Give him an expressive face, four arms and two legs, and make him about, oh, eight inches tall.
You've pretty much got Deth. He's tiny, he's adorable, and he knows it. He's absolutely fearless when it comes to "big people", mostly because he's extremely tough. Not in terms of physical strength, so much as... An almost cartoonish ability to take punishment. You can step on him, and he'll get better. He was, initially, an experiment in a lab working on using mixtures of science and the arcane to attempt to awaken animals. He was a success! And despite what you might expect, given many stories, he was immediately recognized as a sentient being, and given free reign of the facility.
He was taught how to read, how to speak, though it took a while to get him to make any noise other than the squee typical of his species. And eventually, he asked to be released, to see the world, and experience new things, and though it was difficult, they let him go. That was a few years ago now, and he's had some interesting experiences, met some folks, made some friends. He'd much rather forage than steal, and he won't hide in your walls like some micros. He'll show up at your door, and ask for shelter! So you should hug him. Because he's a fluffy moth. And he makes this sound.
