The first clue that something is not quite right with this creature is his unique coloration; where a 'normal' renamon would sport yellow and white fur, with violet markings, Dante can be seen with a highly unusual dark red and black, the only other markings a pale white. His eyes, too, share the crimson hue, only adding to the unnerving presence.
Dante is indeed a Renamon, but for reasons he will not discuss, his data is innately corrupt, viral. Even the most cursory scan will reveal the fact that he is not a 'Data' type, as is normal for his breed, but rather a Virus, dangerous and volatile.
Externally, Dante is nothing but perfectly controlled. His demeanor is curt, needing few words to get a point across, and rarely exhibiting 'unnecessary emotion', save for when he is around Leon. Unfortunately, his Viral nature has its drawbacks. This mentality is only acheivable through constant meditation and focus, intended to keep 'the beast' down. When his control is lost, Dante becomes utterly uncontrollable, moving into a wild, violent rage, which is virtually impossible to break.
Dante can, however, be seen showing genuine affection towards his Tamer, and more privately, his mate... Leon means everything to him, and he will stop at absolutely nothing to protect him.
Or, at least, that's how he used to be. Over the years, Dante has become steadily more open, and warmer to people who are not Leon. It seems that being around the ginger's been good for him; who'd have thought?

Like any of his race, Dante comes complete with multiple forms, achievable through the aid of his Tamer. Each form does, of course, have a few special 'techniques' that are available to them
The absolute weakest form he can take, only appearing when he simply... does not have the energy left in him to maintain, let alone fight. His combat capabilities are nonexistent, most of the time barely capable of moving under his own power.

His powers in this form include fire manipulation and conjuration, as well as an immunity to fire. In hand-to-hand, his favorite strategy is to simply immolate himself.
Renamon Form is marked by bright red text.
Dante's Champion form, coupling the Child form's ability to manipulate flames with an increased amount of strength and speed, warped into a quadrupedal package. Unlike most of his kind, his Youkoumon form retains his red and black coloration, and gone is the band around the neck that the Kyuubimon and Youkoumon strains usually bear.

The Ultimate form, a tall humanoid figure dressed in flowing, samurai-like robes. As crimson-furred as ever, Tsuwamon bears more than a passing resemblance to its closest relative, Taomon. However, Tsuwamon has given up magical potential for raw martial prowess. The fire capabilities remain as always, but a new weapon is added to Dante's arsenal. At a moment's notice, he can summon a massive nodachi, blade black as midnight, a notch roughly halfway down the blade, as though it's been chipped. This sword, Totsuka, is said in legend to have slain a great demon, an eight-headed serpent...
Tsuwamon form is marked by dark violet text.
Dante's Ultimate form, far more compact than Tsuwamon. In fact, on first glance, Nogitsumon is simply a more muscular renamon, although with pitch-black fur all over and two tails, as opposed to one...
However, the difference in power is staggering. Strong enough to rip his way through a tank, fast enough to outrun some planes, and so resilient even artillery fire barely seems to faze him, Dante in this form is a power to be reckoned with. Unfortunately... He is more unstable than ever, his powers moving towards the manipulation of dangerously chaotic and unstable energies. What's worse...
Nogitsumon form is marked by dark grey text.
... Is that he's so close to the deep end. Only once has Leon lost control of his emotions so badly that Dante could fall so far... In such a horrific state, reality seems to warp around him, four tails of black energy writhing and corrupting all they touch... His right arm is horribly warped, the fur burned off, flesh cruelly twisted, vicious foot-long claws protruding from his fingers...
He's mindless, in this state, seeking only destruction. And destruction is an end that Dante is more than capable of, in such a rage..
But when things go correctly, Dante can be just as powerful a force for good. When Leon can manifest a working Burst Mode, the surge in Dante's power is an awe-inspiring one. He becomes wreathed in red energy, four tails becoming seven... And all of that unpredictable power he'd possessed previously is now very much controlled and focused.
