Damask

Before you sits a small, stuffed dragon, about the size of a large house cat or small dog. It's a particularly well-made specimen, with plush fuzz covering its body from nose to tailtip in a soft, pastel blue. It's got wings, cream-colored and reinforced with what feels like wire, velvet to the touch. It's got little nubs of horn, and glass eyes made to be a very dark blue, a friendly smile stitched into the muzzle. A collar around its neck with a plastic medal declares its name to be 'Damask'.
It seems a perfectly normal, if high-quality toy. Though... sometimes it seems to have a mouth that opens instead of the stitched-on smile, revealing a maw with a soft satin tongue and, seemingly, a throat that keeps going... Maybe it's intended to hold things inside?
And sometimes it moves. And speaks, too.
So, really, not like a regular plush doll at all.

Damask, you see, is, in fact, very much alive. Not in the sense of having organs and blood and all that (though he does appear to have a gullet and, at least, a stomach), but rather in the sense of being capable of movement and rational thought.
He's a very curious little thing, too, having a personality that's often playful, frequently seeming almost feline in his approach to most matters. Like all dragons, he feels a compulsion to hoard objects, though in his unique case his compulsion runs toward... textiles.
The little dragon collects fabric, and clothing, frequently found hoarding these items and, more often than not, consuming them. The fabric he consumes, it seems, is very rarely ever seen again, and he seems to derive actual nourishment from it.
Who knows what might happen, were one to feed him fabrics more exotic than just silk or cotton...

The fact of the matter is, Damask's abilities are simple. He can absorb and digest any type of material that could be reasonably classified as 'fabric', and to a certain extend absorb its properties, also having the ability to generate fabric he has eaten before. Woven animal or plant fibers will work, other woven materials or animal/plant fibers that are still attached to their hosts will not. (No digesting fur.)
In the case of fabric that has been enchanted or imbued, he can absorb the magic in those materials, as well, stealing them for himself, and create cloth with similar qualities.

-After an encounter with Heretic, it would seem that Damask has absorbed the magic in the little guy's trousers, and gained the ability to shrink objects... and people~
