Lore Dragons are a rare breed, small and reclusive enough that many adventurers never encounter one. They don't make homes in dungeons, and they don't have much of a desire at all to hoard gold and valuable trinkets.
Physically unimpressive, they are serpentine dragons that rarely grow to more than six feet in length, tending towards more metallic colors. They're typically possessed of wings covered in soft, downy feathers, clawed hands with opposable thumbs, and have extremely dextrous and prehensile tails, capable of gripping things easily.
They tend to make their homes in old libraries, scroll repositories, and the occasional museum, a habit that has earned them the affectionate nickname 'bookwyrms', and unlike many of their ilk typically seem surprisingly amenable to sharing the contents of their hoard, provided such loaned items do not leave the boundaries of their dens.
They're possessed, too, of some rudimentary magic, most of it focused around defense and obfuscation rather than attack.
Caius is no exception, a fairly typical example of his breed. In default form, he's just over five feet long with a wingspan just as wide as he is long, scales a polished silver with white wings and a crest of white feathers that runs the length of his spine. (Represented in the form of white text.)
He does, however, possess the ability to shift into a more anthropomorphic form, being bipedal with white, feathery hair and wings, the tail remaining largely unchanged. (This being represented by dark gray text.)
No matter the form he resides in, currently, he's usually found with a book in his hands, curled up in a corner away from the crowd, though one shouldn't take this as standoffishness. He's shy, not antisocial, and might well enjoy someone coming up to say hello!
Profile a work in progress.
