§ Bonbon’s appearance §
Bonnie is a rabbit of average height that tips the scale of the balance a bit on the heavy side. Born with a thick and curvy body-type, the rabbit’s love for cakes and sweets made her put on a little bit of extra weight, with a bit of pudge and some love handles to show for it. Her light grey fur, dotted with darker grey spots cover her outer layers while light grey fur, almost white, grow on her chest, between her thighs, along her nose and chin and at the tip of her feet and ears. Much like gloves, darker grey fur sprouts on her arms and hands. Her hair, pink in color with pinkish-red tips, complements a pink heart-shaped furtattoo on her chest along with the top side of her puffy tail, which is also pink.
Depending on where you meet her, Bonnie’s outfit changes accordingly. At work, the rabbit tends to wear an apron, usually covered in frosting, flour and/or other sweet stuff. Behind the apron, she will usually wear a pair of medium-length cotton shorts that reach down to her thighs, just over the knees and simple shirt, long-sleeved or short-sleeved according to the temperature outside. Off of work, the bunny wears a variety of clothes, but her go-to outfit tends to be a summer dress or a shirt, a vest and a skirt. In every cases, Bonbon always wear her worn-out, but favorite pinkish-red tights and either goes with naked feet or sandals, wearing boots only when it snows. Finally, more often than not, the bunny girl wears a crown of red roses on her head, as long as it fits her outfit, which it often does.
§ Bonbon’s Background §
Even at a young age, it was easy to guess that Bonnie would end up working in a restaurant, whether it be her own or someone else’s. Born to a chef for a father and chocolatier for a mother, the bunny would either hate food or love it. In her case, she made it a passion. As soon as she could walk and talk, Bonbon would spend most of her time in the kitchen with her parents and try to help them around as much as she could. Her favorite toy was the small oven that you could craft your own candies in. As she grew up, Bonnie would get the help of her father to set up a small booth by the road to sell cookies made by herself and eventually, as her talent grew, she would also sell cupcakes and actual cakes.
In high school, Bonbon’s grades were between average and below average, but they weren’t bad at least. Where she would shine, however would be in the arts and crafts class, especially, and anybody would have guessed, when cooking was involved. With her path carved ahead of her due to her passion and her reputation in the kitchen, the rabbit soon found her way in the lowest part of the food and drinks industry. Spending most of her teenage years as a waitress, moving on to the kitchen a few years later and eventually becoming a dedicated dessert cook for a restaurant in her home town. She never pursued higher education, but she often took cooking classes to perfect her art.
Entering adulthood, Bonnie saved up her money at first to move out of her parents’ house, but also to start up her own little place if possible. By the age of 25, she had accumulated enough wealth to move away. She settled down for a tiny apartment with a medium-sized room that serves as everything, from a living room to a kitchen along with a tiny bedroom and a tiny bathroom. This downside, however, is compensated by her investment in a nice little shop on the corner of a cute little street where she opened up her own bakery! It is a small business with only a few tables and a few chairs, but it is cozy and homely. It has a coffee shop feel to it.
§ Hot Buns §
Bonbon’s Bakery for Coffee, Cakes and Candies
Built within a business complex, on a corner facing a peaceful park, a small bakery stands proudly. The sign, a cupcake flanking one side of a cup of coffee with candies flanking the other side, notes the name: Hot Buns, Bonnie’s Bakery. In the two large windows built in the walls facing the park and the street of the corner, advertisements for homemade candies, cakes, bread as well as drinks such as coffee can be seen. Cute decorations such as cupcakes and flowers have been painted on the edges of the windows.
In the morning, a nice smell of fresh croissant, muffins, bread, toasted or not, and bagels overwhelm the place. Bonnie tends to set them up directly at the counter next to the register along with jams, butter and cream cheese along with all kinds of spread for the morning birds that walk by her store. After 11 AM, pancakes and waffles fill the counter display. The tables are decorated with maple syrup bottles and other goodies to put on the pastries. In the evening, the whole store becomes a sweet heaven. The counter display shows cakes of all kinds and on the counter, bowls and boxes of homemade candies make her customers’ eyes go wide.
